waiter at koffietjd

When I came back from America in 2019, I waitered at a coffee shop in Pretoria. I would work five times a week from 7-5. It helped to improve my communication and responsibility skills.

2018-2019

aupair in leesburg, virginia. usa

From May 2018 to 2019 I was an Au Pair in America for a family of 6 ( 4 kids from the ages 3,10,13 and 15) I lived with them and helped out with the kids. It was very challenging to live so far away from my family, but it definitely taught me a lot and I had to mature really quickly. It helped to improve my communication and responsibility skills.

highschool

I Went to high school in Oudtshoorn (Langenhoven Gimnasium) where I passed matric in 2017 with 3 distinctions namely one for Life Orientation, English and Design. I was on the top 20 academic achievers list as well.

2017

Sales representative at Sarie

In the April holiday of 2017 I had a holiday job at Sarie Magazine's KKNK Stall. It was a very busy holiday, as it always is during the KKNK festival. My responsibilities were mainly working at the stall. This included stocktaking, sales, customer service and promotional work during the festival. The clientele were mainly women, but because Sarie Magazine shared a space with other publishing's, I also had to work with other clientele. This specific job helped to improve my people and communication skills. Our hours were quite long and I would often only get home by 8 o'clock in the evenings.

2013-2016

Cake Decorator & Kitchen Assistant @ Three for Tea

In my school holidays, I had a small holiday job at this coffee shop/ bakery. Before and after the coffee shop opened and closed, the owner and baker ordered cake figurines that I created for multiple occasions, including birthdays and holiday-themed cakes. When the coffee shop was still open, I helped the chef and owner to plate dishes and serve customers. These experiences thought me a lot of patience and perfectionism.
